Just Two Girls Walking Down the Street with Chairs

My daughter and I took a walk with little guy in his stroller. “Today,” my daughter said, “I want to head up to Target to get patio chairs.”  As we headed back with a significant trek still ahead of us, we noticed there were two wicker chairs sitting by the curb at a home along with guys working, and a utility truck parked in the driveway.

“Hey Mom, look… do those chairs look any good?”

“Let’s go see.”

They were in excellent condition. Full sturdy chairs with backs and armrests.

I asked the guy headed to the truck, “Hi, do you know anything about these chairs.” After he inquired with the homeowner we discovered they were up for grabs.

“Great, thank you,” I said, “we’ll be back with a car.”

Just as I returned to continue on what do I see? My daughter walking down the street carrying one chair with one arm and pushing the stroller with the other! I grabbed the other chair…

And we were just two girls walking down the street with a stroller and two wicker chairs.

Here, I’m thinking, we’ll come back and my daughter jumped at the opportunity with a GRAB and GO!

Which leads me to this question for you today…

What are you waiting to do? Is it time to stop waiting and take action? Go for it!

What project are you putting off? Projects will sit until you pick up the tools to make things happen.

What do you need to do for your marriage to make it all God intends for you to thrive and create fireworks? Marriage is continual work and maintenance. There is always something we can do to make it better. What’s that one thing you can do today?

What ministry are you waiting to start or be a part of? Sometimes fear of failure can stop us in our tracks. Step out in faith.

What big thing for God are you hesitant to try? Go ahead and fail! Then you will learn what doesn’t work. Or maybe it won’t fail, and God will multiply your efforts.

What opportunity are you passing by? Sometimes when opportunity knocks you’ve got GRAB and GO!

I encourage you today to step out in faith and be and do all that God wants you to be, and puts on your heart.

Don’t allow fear or anything else to slow you down.

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

-Romans 8:31

Love all out.

Live all out.

Extend grace to everyone.

Fondly,

Lu
