Wiping Up Tears

I have found myself crying more often. I don’t know if it’s age or the season we’re in or just me being in touch with my emotions more, but out of what seems nowhere I’ll be overrun with emotion and tears flow.

I’ve been experiencing many changes and I’m guessing you have too. This last year ushered in surprises and unexpected challenges.

Life has a way of throwing curves at us. Where do we turn when life seems crazy and the challenges keep hitting us?

Know that one day every tear will be wiped away…

“He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth; for the LORD has spoken.” Isaiah 25:8

This verse comforts me. Especially when life seems out of control. If we measure our life in the span of eternity—eternity—what is challenging us right now can be put in perspective.

But in the meantime, embrace life fully.

It’s okay to feel frustrated.

It’s okay to be sad.

It’s okay to feel uneasy about present circumstances.

And just knowing this too shall pass and every tear will one day be wiped away, and death will be conquered can pave the way for joy and contentment.

Look to God, my friend.
