Love God, Love People

God said…

I have an assignment for you.

My child, love others and serve…

“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.”

– Romans 13:8

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

– Philippians 2:3-4

You will create lifelong deep friendships, one will be the most endearing friendship you’ve ever had…

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.”

– Ecclesiastes 4:9

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

– 1 Peter 4:8

You will grow and develop strength…

“Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God.”

– Hebrews 6:1

“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”

– 1 Peter 2:2

You will fall and get back up…

“He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.”

– Psalm 40:2-3

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

– Deuteronomy 31:8

You also will experience hurt and pain beyond what you think you can endure…

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

– John 16:33

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

– 1 Peter 5:10

You will be broken…

“My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.”

– Psalm 51:17

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

– Matthew 5:3

You will be empty and depleted…

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

– Psalm 46:1

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

– Psalm 73:26

My child, now that you are broken and empty, now my child…

NOW YOU ARE READY.

Are you going through a trying time? God knows and He cares. He loves you and He will tug you out from the mud and the mire. He wants to carry you. Let him carry you through the waves and the storms. Allow Him to pull you from the slimy pit.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

– Proverbs 3:5-6
