Calling all young people… THIS IS THE SECRET TO FINANCIAL SUCCESS

I read something this week that I had to share with you. This is a quote out of Barry L. Cameron’s book The ABC’s of Financial Success: “John Hagee, Pastor of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, has a message on tithing [giving God 10%] in which he says, ‘Some of you drove to church today in stolen cars. Some of you are sitting here in the service in stolen clothes. Some of you are living in houses that were built with stolen money. You took God’s tithe and used it for yourself.’ Now I may never be so bold as to say that, [although he just did!] but I happen to think he’s right. We’re not to use God’s tithe for our house. It’s to be brought to His house [the church] and used for His purposes. It’s His tithe.'”

Yowzaa!

Not tithing is stealing?

Do you believe in the Bible?

Do you want to feel God’s presence?

Do you want to have financial success?

Does God, the Almighty need money?

EVERYTHING belongs to God:

“The earth is the LORD’s and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it” (Psalm 24:1).

Could it be that the answer to our money problems is to tithe? It seems silly to give 10% of our income to the church if we are struggling financially. In many ways it just doesn’t make sense.

Hear this:

Let me share with you something the stewardship pastor at our church told me.

He said:

“In twenty years of ministry I’ve never had someone come to the church for financial assistance who was a tither.”

Think about that!

When we tithe, we partner with God. It’s like getting a business partner, a personal assistant, and an advisor.

The best team to be on is God’s team.

Money can be a very sensitive issue.

God says in Malachi 3:10, ‘“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”’

This is the only place God says, “Test Me.”

Is it time to test God?

For me, I feel safe tithing.

The safest place to be is the center of God’s will… and it seems clear to me that God wants me to tithe.

Safe.

Secure.

Once you get this figured out, ALL things in your life will fall into place.

Trusting and walking with God Almighty, the Creator of the universe is like winning the lotto… everyday.

“Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

Try it.

Until next time…

LOVE GOD

LOVE OTHERS
